Primitive fire workshop that was on over the weekend down at Purecamping, in its woodland paradise. Lots of coals cranked out and dedicated people there practicing on there bow drill kits. The greatest piece of kit in any body’s camp pack. Really good day hanging in the woods.

Update: Our little hare is doing well! Thank you to Bev wildlife carers in Tulla for your support and advice. The hare has travelled up to Wildlife Sanctuary in Kildare for expert care and to be among other hares and soon will be rehabilitated back into the wild. It's been really heart warming to hear people's comments and care about the baby hare. Check out Hogsprickle and Kildare Wildlife Sanctuary for all the amazing work they do and advice on what to do if you find an animal in trouble.

Something here to the untrained eye that wont stand out. There's an art to camouflage that nature uses to hide even the most obvious of animals. When learning wilderness survival people are often hyped on making the bow and getting the arrows made. But to stalk close to an animal in a mind frame of invisibility you need to blend in.
