It’s that time of year where you can apply for and vote for who you want to be a part of the BIS Society for the next academic year of 2026/27 🌟
⏱️Deadline to apply is 6pm on Monday the 6th of April.
🗓The AGM will take place online (Google Meets) at 6pm on Wednesday the 8th of April.
🔗 We will share the link for the AGM closer to the date.
Candidates must be a student in BIS and give short speech (roughly 60 seconds), followed with questions as part of their nomination before a vote will be taken. The AGM is open for all to attend, whether you want to apply for a role or just vote. Only those present at the AGM can vote.

BIS Anthology 2026 Submissions are now OPEN!🌟
Every year, the BIS Anthology gives students a platform to express their creative sides that may not always be visible in their academic work. It is a celebration of art, writing, photography and designs that make BIS students more than just business and tech innovators.
What can you submit?
📸 Photography (MAX 2 photos)
📝 Creative writing (MAX 1000 words)
🎨 Poetry, artwork, songs and more!
Looking for inspiration? Copies of the new 2025 edition can be found in the BIS labs in the ORB⚜️
This year, the Anthology is also a competition, every entry is a chance to showcase your creativity, challenge yourself, and be part of a long-standing BIS tradition.
🏆 Prizes will be awarded for the Best Submission in each category, as well as an overall award for the Most Creative Submission!

Since everyone has collected their tickets today, here is the official timetable of the night! 🪩
18:00/18:15PM: Reception (Full tickets only)
19:10PM: Commence to dining hall
19:45PM: Dinner is served
21:30PM: Afters begin (Fulls and Afters tickets)
1:30:2:200AM: Ball concludes ✨
‼️NO TICKET NO ENTRY ! ‼️
If any issues with your ticket, please message the society, we will be available untill Wednesday night. After that time, there is nothing we can do.

The Simon Society is kindly operating a cloakroom on the night of the ball. The cost is €2.

TICKET COLLECTION INFORMATION🎟️
BIS Ball ticket collection will take place on Tuesday the 13th of January, between 10am - 1pm in the ORB Lobby 📍
Please ensure you have your umail ready for collection! Only individuals who have purchased tickets can collect them. If you have bought tickets for yourself and a friend you must collect both tickets.
Please ensure you are wearing your wristband to the ball; entry will NOT be permitted without it. We operate on a strict no wristband no entry policy.
Ball timetable will be released soon so keep an eye out!!🗓️👀
Buses will be going to and from the Western Gateway Building and Rochestown. Timetable will also be released soon!
We are looking forward to welcoming you at the Rochestown Park Hotel on the 15th! 💙
