Our Davis College Creative Engagement Project involved Transition Year and 5th-year students to bridge the gap between art and construction through the traditional craft of marquetry. Collaborating with crafts-person John Hewer, students designed a permanent decorative installation for our school building inspired by artist Charley Harper. Students developed technical precision and a deep sense of pride. This project exemplifies how hands-on innovation fosters both creative independence and student well-being. We are so proud of the creativity, technical skill, and teamwork shown by everyone involved.
