Spring into Storytime at Newmarket Library! 🌸📚

It’s always great to see the kids discovering their favorite stories in such a welcoming local spot. After some great sessions earlier this year, the next storytime is just around the corner!

Language develops through everyday interactions, play, shared routines and responsive communication. When educators reflect on and build their own knowledge, they can create environments that support and extend all children’s expressive and receptive communication.

Seachtain na Gaeilge is Ireland’s largest international Irish language festival, offering a vibrant celebration of the native language and culture both in Ireland and worldwide. The 2026 festival takes place from 1st to 17th March.

Here is a fun and simple schedule to get children involved.

Speech and Language Therapy assessments, offered by a highly experienced, CORU-registered Senior Speech and Language Therapist, are now available locally.

Services available include:

🔴Speech sound assessments

🟢Play based and/or more formal assessments of your child's language skills, depending on their age and ability.

🔵Screening assessments, including for Autism.

🟡Development of a speech and language programme of activities for home and/or school.

🟣Consultation service - when you are simply seeking advice and support in relation to navigating the health service and require expert guidance.
