Just winding up in Hasselt after another excellent Gasshuku. A good weekend all round. Tadhg (6thDan) , Ray (5th Dan), Joe (5th Dan) and Mick (4th Dan) all passed their gradings. Great to see all of the KSKA folks again.

Congratulations to everyone who graded last Friday evening at the OKC. As usual the standard was very high. It was very much a family affair with two sets of siblings (including twins) and a married couple among the 8 students who graded.

Congratulations to Giorgos Fagas, who passed his Black Belt grading in the club this afternoon. All those years of hard work finally paid off and were reflected in the very high standard of the grading.

Covid Update!!
As the whole country is being moved to level 3 of the National Framework for living with Covid-19, new restrictions for sports training are coming into effect. The Olympic Karate Club will not be able to continue training at this time. We will review the situation in 3 weeks and keep you posted here on our social media page. Stay safe everyone.

30/06/2020

The Olympic Karate Club will reopen for training on Wednesday the 1st of July, 2020. Phase 3 of Ireland's road map for reopening allows for groups of karateka to once again resume group training activities, while maintaining social distancing at all times. In conformance with national phase 3 restrictions we are able to bring you this opportunity to start training at the Olympic Karate Club Dojo. There will be a few changes to the way we operate, due to COVID-19 restrictions, primarily around social distancing and maintaining hygiene at the club. All members will be required to fill an online registration form for each class they wish to attend, in order that we can control numbers and have contact tracing information. Our class timetable will be changing to facilitate social distancing. Classes will continue to be on Monday and Wednesday evenings, but at slightly different times:
Beginners 6-7pm
Intermediate 7-8pm
Advanced 8-9pm
No more than 10 students will be allowed in the dojo for any class.
For more details and access to the online form, please message us on Facebook, or email us at
[email protected].
Hope to see you all soon.
