The Troubadour

The Troubadour Established in 2011, the Troubadour Music School has been providing music lessons in both piano and A new music school and art space in Naas.

We provide lessons for both adults and children in piano and guitar.Piano lessons are on a one-to-one basis, and can be simply for the pleasure of playing, or, alternatively, students can be prepared for graded examinations of the RIAM. Similarly, guitar lessons can be either pop/folk guitar where the student learns to accompany songs in the contemporary pop/rock and folk idioms,or students can be guided through graded examinations.

📌 Moat's Art Café. Doors 2:45pm, the show will start at 3pm.

This 7 piece includes Marion McEvoy (guitar/keys), Joe Ryan (pedal steel), Gavin Walsh (lead guitar), Michael Farrell(bass), Niall Crichton (drums) and star vocalist Liz Barker, along with Bobby Roche (piano/guitar).

Their rootsy music will include originals by Bobby, songs from Glen Campbell, Warren Zevon, Tom Waits, Eagles, Merle Haggard, the Band and the Doobie Bros.

Tickets: €10 plus €1.50 online booking fee.

Going, going, gone!
Dear Parents, students and former students, after 9 years at Railway Terrace, Naas, I'm retiring. I'm now in receipt of the state pension plus the bus pass! The Troubadour is now closed and I've handed the keys back to my landlord. Thank you to all my former piano teachers: Garret Farrell, Laura Byrne, Sarah Scully, Clara Devlin, Alison Lee, Margaret Hoban, Emma Guinan, Jean Mc Clintock and Olive Webster. It has been a pleasure working with you all.
To all our parents - thank you for entrusting your children to us, and for providing an income for myself and our teachers. We greatly appreciate your support.
And finally, to all my guitar students, it has been a pleasure to have taught you all, and don't let that guitar gather dust. Let it be a friend for life.
