Phrasal verbs make every one of our student's heads spin.

There are over 3,000 phrasal verbs in the English language (sorry!!).

PHRASAL VERB: To Fall Out

"To fall out" is used to express a separation between two objects. This is also commonly used to describe tension in a relationship.

Eg: Mary: "Did you hear, John and Teresa have fallen out?
Karen: "No way, why?"
Mary: "Teresa sat on John's cat"
Karen: "He fell out with her because she sat on his cat!!"
Mary: "Well, she is very fat"

Eg: My keys fell out of my pocket when I was dancing.
