We’re so proud of the Mercy students and staff who are participating in today’s Dublin mini-marathon, many of them in aid of the Gavin Glynn Foundation. Go girls!

Well done to the students whose excellent attendance was acknowledged last week, some of whom are pictured here. Thanks to all of the Year Heads and to Ms. Boyle, who coordinated the ANSEO project.

On Friday, we were treated to a fabulous Lámh concert by the girls in our Lynam Suite. Well done everyone and thanks to the staff who helped the girls prepare, especially Donna and Ms. Kelly.

Well done to our TYs, who are completing their Gaisce hike in Wicklow this week. Thanks to Mr. Burke for coordinating the programme and to Ms. Aishling Kelly and Ms. McLoughlin for joining the girls and Mr. Burke to complete the challenge.

While by elections were taking place in Dublin and Galway, Mercy had its own election this month. We are immensely proud of each of our candidates for Head Girl. They spoke so well in front of staff, their peers and other students and each person had so much to offer in the role. We know they will make a great Student Leadership Team and the future is bright. Our election went to the 10th count. Congratulations to our new Deputy Head Girls, Lacey Turner and Kaci O’Connor and Head Girl Hayden Meehan. We look forward to working with the entire team, including our additional mentors and prefects.

Congratulations to our TY classes of 2026 who marked all of their achievements with a beautiful Mass and ceremony yesterday. Special thanks to Fr. Edwin, who celebrated the Mass. We thank him for all he has brought to our school community here in Mercy over the years and wish him well-deserved rest, relaxation and enjoyable travels ahead.
