Our 3rd–6th class pupils enjoyed a fascinating local history tour focusing on the north of the parish 🔵⚪ 🗺️

Special memories were made as the children enjoyed a fun-filled day with their favourite teddy bears🐻

What a fantastic day we had today, playing the Gerard Coakley Cup finals. It's always such an enjoyable day for all the children. Well done to the overall winners of what was a very tight competition from the get go.

Today was extra special as we invited some of the past staff to the school. It was great to have Mr Coakley, Mr Twomey and Jessie with us for the finals. A special thanks to Ms Murphy who called in to see all the boys and girls. Ms Murphy will officially resign from Rusheen NS this Summer having originally started teaching in Rusheen almost 20 years ago. We wish her the very best for the future and thank her for all her work in Rusheen over the years.

Congratulations to both our boys team and our girls team who both reached the 'A' final in their respective competitions today in Tom Creedon Park. The girls were delighted to come out on top in their final with our boys losing out by the narrowest of margins to their clubmates from Ballinagree NS. It was a fantastic day with tight sporting games. Well done to all!

It was also wonderful to recognise the many achievements and successes of our pupils both in and outside of school. Their enthusiasm and talents are an inspiration to our school community 🌟
