Last night, some of the Wexford Macra members (Sarah from Bree Macra, Lucy, Sean & Cliona from Kilmuckridge Macra) were lobbying with Senator Cathal Byrne on Macra na Feirme’s 2027 Pre-Budget Submission. Thank you Cathal for taking the time to meet with Macra.

They discussed: the introduction of a farm succession scheme, as well as supports for young farmers and rural youth around housing, finance, rural infrastructure, and health. It also called for the prioritisation of young farmers and new entrants in the next CAP, in order to aid generational renewal in the sector.
