Today we had Marie and Catriona from Teagasc in to talk to 2nd,3rd & 4th Class as part of Generational Renewal Week. Their visit was designed to highlight the many positive aspects of farming in Ireland. 🐮🐄 🧑‍🌾

The children got to take a look at things such as animal ear tags, hay, grass seeds, wool and they got the opportunity to experience how water quality is tested. 🐑

They also got to learn about how farmers can help bees, birds, bats and other animals. 🐝🦇🦉

The children thoroughly enjoyed the talk and learned lots of new things. Thank you Marie and Catriona for visiting us.

Congratulations are in order to the u12 boys who won the plate final last Saturday in Dungarvan beating Erins Own in extra time after coming from behind to draw at full time. A special well done Cian, Austin and Rian from Ballycurrane NS. We are all very proud!!! 👏👏👏

We had a very exciting visit in school today from some of the Clashmore hurling team! They brought the cup with them from their recent big win. A big thank you to them for coming to see us and for the lovely treats 🔴🟢🏆🥇
