Exciting News from Castlerea Community School! 🥁🥁🥁

🎭 Get ready for a thrilling journey into the world of "Little Shop of Horrors"! 🎭

We are beyond excited to unveil the talented lead cast for our upcoming school musical, set to take the stage this October in CCS!

⭐️⭐️ Meet Our Stars:
- Marcos Silveira as Seymour – The hopeful yet hapless hero of our story, ready to capture your hearts!
- Caroline McDermott as Audrey – The enchanting flower shop assistant, embodying both charm and courage.

Kate Hawkshaw, Ava Caslin, Nika Donlon Franzoni, Sebastian Balog and Lorcan Walsh are the fantastic and very talented ensemble that will bring the vibrant world of Skid Row to life.

Full cast announcement will be made when we return to school after our summer holidays.

Designed specifically for teenage girls, this programme offers a chance to relax, move, and build confidence through gentle yoga, stretching, and breathing exercises. Participants will have the opportunity to:

✅Improve flexibility
✅Reduce stress and anxiety
✅Build confidence and wellbeing
✅Take time to switch off, relax, and recharge

The HER MOVES initiative aims to create fun, supportive, and inclusive opportunities for teenage girls to be active and feel good.

🎓✨ **Transition Year Graduation 2026** ✨🎓

We were delighted to celebrate our Transition Year students as they reach the end of a fantastic year of learning, growth and new experiences.

Throughout TY, students embraced every opportunity offered to them — from work experience placements and enterprise projects, to trips, workshops, volunteering, leadership programmes and extracurricular activities. They developed confidence, independence, teamwork skills and a real sense of responsibility.

Their graduation marked a special moment to reflect on all they have achieved and to recognise the effort, maturity and enthusiasm they have shown throughout the year.

A huge thank you to all students, teachers and families who supported the TY programme and helped make it such a positive and memorable experience.

We wish our TY students every success as they move forward into Senior Cycle and beyond.
