What a wonderful Sports Day we enjoyed today in the glorious sunshine! ☀️

Our students took part in a fantastic range of activities including table tennis, welly throwing, football, hurling, unihoc and yoga. They also got to sample some delicious fresh strawberries grown in our school garden 🍓 and enjoyed the added entertainment of watching silage being made in our neighbour's field!

A special treat of pizza, wedges and ice cream was provided thanks to our young entrepreneur Holly, who generously used funds raised through her cookie-selling business. Well done, Holly! 👏

Most importantly, well done to all of our students for their enthusiastic participation, teamwork and good humour throughout the day. It was a fabulous way to finish the school year. Wishing everyone a happy and relaxing summer! 🌞

We gathered today for our End of Year Mass, beautifully celebrated by Fr. Beirne, to mark the end of another wonderful school year.

Following Mass, our pupils delighted everyone with a fantastic tin whistle performance under the guidance of Carrol, who has been teaching tin whistle throughout the year. We then celebrated the many achievements of our school community, including the awarding of our 9th Green Flag, 4th Amber Flag, and a Platinum Curious Minds Award. Pupils proudly raised the flags before everyone enjoyed tea and refreshments together.

Last week, we also said a fond farewell to Mr. O'Brien, who covered Ms. Murray's principal release days throughout the year, and we congratulated Mr. Richardson on his recent engagement.

A lovely way to end a fantastic year. We wish all our pupils, staff and families a happy, safe and enjoyable summer break!

We are delighted to be only one of two schools in County Roscommon to receive the SFI Curious Minds Platinum Award (Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál). We have previously been awarded the silver and gold awards in 2024 and 2025. Well done to all students and staff for this wonderful achievement. 👏

Our school had a fantastic day today attending a hurling blitz organised by their hurling trainer Ian Fahy. It was a great day of hurling and camogie, with lots of fun, skill, and teamwork on display.

A big thank you to Ian for all his hard work in organising such a wonderful event and for his dedication to training the children over the past number of weeks. Thanks also to Four Roads Hurling Club for providing the training. We really appreciate it!
