After the games, everyone cooled down with some delicious ice cream 🍦 and enjoyed tasty Rice Krispie buns 🍫 made by our Junior Room.
A wonderful day of sport, friendship, and fun as we completed the final round of the group stages. We can't wait for the league final in the last week of school! 🌟👏

Science in the Kitchen! 🍫🥣👩‍🔬

The Junior Room had great fun making their own Rice Krispie buns last week while bringing science to the kitchen!

As they followed the recipe, the children learned about heating, melting, and cooling. They watched the chocolate change from a solid to a liquid and then cool and set again once the buns were made. 🍫✨

There was lots of mixing, measuring, stirring, and teamwork along the way — and of course, the best part was tasting the finished buns! 😋

A wonderful hands-on activity that combined science, learning, and delicious treats all in one.

Exploring the Double Bass 🎶🎻
Today’s music lesson was extra special as Zane from Music Generation brought a Double Bass to school for the children to explore and play.

The children were fascinated by the size of the instrument and loved hearing the deep sounds it could make. Everyone got a chance to try it out and create their own music — there were lots of smiles, excitement, and musical talent on show! 🎵✨

A fantastic hands-on experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by all the children.

Growing in our School Garden 🌱🥔

Miss Higgins’ 2nd Class have been busy upgrading our school garden and planted potatoes last week. The girls showed great teamwork and care as they dug, planted, and learned all about how vegetables grow.

We’re delighted to see a healthy crop of carrots, potatoes, and garlic already growing! 🌿

Well done to all the girls — we can’t wait to watch our garden continue to grow! 💚

We finished our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations in style with a fantastic Lá Glas agus Dioscó Gaelach!

The school was filled with colour as the children came dressed in green, ready to celebrate. There was great excitement as the music started and the dance floor quickly filled with energy, laughter, and plenty of impressive dance moves.

The children (and staff) enjoyed dancing together, listening to music, and celebrating our Irish culture. It was a wonderful way to finish a week full of Gaeilge, cluichí, and fun activities across the school.

A brilliant celebration of community, culture, and fun to round off Seachtain na Gaeilge before the St. Patrick’s Day break.

Maith sibh go léir! 💚🇮🇪✨
