It was an honour to hold another yoga and sauna morning on Sunday with as part of CASTLEGREGORY SUMMER FESTIVAL.
A group of kind and generous souls came together to support those affected by war and humanitarian crises, living in the most difficult conditions where healthcare systems have been severely disrupted and access to medical care is limited. Through Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), emergency medical care and humanitarian assistance reach people when they need it most, and together we raised €360.
We gathered in the most beautiful setting, and so many people commented on how peaceful our practice felt.
To me, it reflected something deeply important: despite everything happening in the world, there is still so much goodness. It reminded me how essential it is to nurture our own inner peace, because it is from that place that we can cultivate compassion, inspire hope, and create meaningful change.
But our work does not end there. While caring for ourselves is important, we also have a responsibility to look beyond our own lives—to speak up, shine a light, and advocate for those who are oppressed and vulnerable. We are all connected. People in Palestine, Sudan, and many other parts of the world deserve safety, access to healthcare, dignity, and their basic human rights.
May we continue to find moments of peace, and may that peace give us the courage to act with kindness, compassion, and solidarity. 🤍
A huge well done to the CASTLEGREGORY SUMMER FESTIVAL committee for bringing people together in such a wonderful community spirit, and thank you to everyone who came along, donated, and made the morning so special.
