Carrownagappul Bog Mountbellew SESE trip.
This Special Area of Conservation is ruin with great local knowledge and a brilliant way to teach about the significance of active raised bogs to the environment today; how they retained cultural and environmental information that provides important insight into our history—many old objects have been kept in Ireland's bogs; and their significance to the local community.
An amazing local initiative.
