📢 Special Class Applications – Important Information for Parents
Parents and guardians seeking a Special Class or special school placement for the 2027/2028 school year must notify the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) by 1st September 2026.
Applications must be completed through the NCSE Parents Notify Portal:
https://www.ncse.ie/parents/current-application-processes/parents-notify-special-class-special-school-placement/parents-notify-form/
When completing the form, parents will need:
✅ Their child’s PPS Number
✅ Their child’s Eircode
✅ Details of their child’s current educational placement
✅ Any relevant professional reports
✅ Parental consent and signature
Please ensure that 2027/2028 is selected as the relevant academic year before submitting the form.
Parents who require assistance should contact the SENO responsible for their local area.
Application deadline: 1st September 2026

🥉 Congratulations, Cabrini Pyne! 🇮🇪

Everyone at St. Baithin's N.S. is incredibly proud of our past pupil, Cabrini Pyne, who has won a bronze medal in the javelin while representing Ireland at the recent International Schools Athletics Competition.

This was Cabrini's first time representing her country at an international event, making this achievement even more special. Her dedication, determination and hard work have truly paid off, and she has done herself, her family, her school and her country proud.

Congratulations, Cabrini, from all of us at St. Baithin's N.S. We wish you every success in the future and look forward to seeing all that you achieve next! 🇮🇪💚

URGENT NOTICE

Dear Parents

The Government and NCSE have just announced that the Parents Notify Portal is now open until 1st September for anyone wishing to apply for a place in a special ASD class for Primary or Secondary school for their child for the 2027-2028 school year.

Even if you do not require a place for your child you might know someone that does so please share this with them as the process has changed for the next school year.

Where parents/guardians are awaiting documentation or reports they should not delay contacting the NCSE via the Parents Notify portal by 1st September 2026. As above, documentation can be supplied as soon as practicable after initial notification has been made to the NCSE.

Last week we celebrated the retirement of our wonderful SNA Mary Browne.

We had a lovely morning celebrating Mary's incredible contribution to school life. Her kindness, patience, care, and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on so many children, families, and colleagues. She has been an invaluable member of our school community, and her presence will be greatly missed.

Mary, thank you for everything you have done for St. Baithin's. We wish you every happiness, good health, and many wonderful adventures in your retirement. You have truly earned it!
