SCHOOL IS BACK🏫🥳

HP Tutoring is back and ready for the new school year!!! I am delighted to say that I am now a fully qualified primary school teacher 🤩
My diary has now opened up and I will be taking bookings for the new academic year. Spaces will be limited this year so if you are interested in seeking extra support for your child, drop me a message for more information. The cost of the sessions will be €20 per hour.
I am looking forward to seeing all my little students back and maybe meeting some new faces.

☀️Summer 2022☀️
Hi everyone,
As I head into my final few weeks at University, I am beginning to organise my diary for the summer months ahead.
Due to my flexible schedule, I am also able to open up a few extra spaces for anyone looking for tutoring for their child.

For those of you who don’t know me, I am a final year primary teaching student in St Mary’s University in Belfast. I set up HP tutoring during the pandemic to provide extra support to children who had missed out on vital learning experiences with the closure of schools. I have been working with a range of children from junior infants right up to 6th class for the past 2 years. The sessions are €15 per hour or €25 for 2 hours. Also If you want 2 sessions per week it’s €25. The sessions are face to face and will be in my home in Convoy.

And that’s a wrap for 2021 !! 🙌🏻 Thank you to all my little superstars for working so hard this year, I am so proud of you all 🌟🌟🌟 Thank you also to all the mums, dads and grandparents for bringing the children to their lessons every week. It has been a pleasure teaching you all this year and I look forward to seeing you again in January. Have a wonderful and safe Christmas and a Happy New Year 🎅🏼

HP Tutoring is back for the summer!! 👩🏽‍🏫
I am delighted to announce that HP Tutoring will be continuing throughout the summer! I have just completed my third year of University and am now able to open up more places for tutoring throughout the summer.

What is HP Tutoring ?
My name is Hannah Parkinson. I am a primary teaching student in St Mary’s University in Belfast. I am pleased to announce that I am offering primary school tuition in the Convoy area. I have just completed my third year at university where I am studying the BEd programme alongside a degree in Irish. I have experience working in a number of schools,both in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, with all different age groups and have the necessary vetting.
The sessions will cost €15 per hour and €25 for 2 children. I will cater for all classes from junior infants up to 6th class and P1-P7 in Northern Ireland. The tutoring sessions are ideal for children who may need extra support in certain subjects or those who are looking to catch up due to the loss of time at school during the pandemic.
I am based in Convoy and am able to provide the sessions in my house in order to reduce contacts as much as possible due to the pandemic. I am flexible in terms of days and time and will cater for your preferences.

Hi Everyone,
I hope you are all keeping well. Since my last session with the children, our county has seen quite a large increase in Covid-19 cases over the past number of weeks. I want to take the time to give you all some reassurance and explain some of the safety measures I have in place and will continue to implement for the foreseeable future.
1. Hand sanitiser- I have provided hand sanitiser on the table inside my front door for the children to sanitise their hands when coming in and leaving the house. If I provide my tutoring sessions in the child’s own home, I always sanitise my hands before entering your home.
2. Disinfectant- The room in which I use for my tutoring sessions is sprayed with disinfectant before each child arrives for their session.
3. Masks- I have made the decision to start wearing my mask during my sessions with the children to not only protect myself but to protect the children and their families. Trying to teach hidden behind a mask is not the ideal situation for myself or the children but our health and safety is the most important thing so we will do what we do best and adapt to our new circumstances. I will NOT be insisting that the children wear a mask during the sessions, it is your choice and what you and your child feel most comfortable with.

I do however ask that if your child presents with symptoms or has been in contact with someone who has either presented with symptoms or tested positive for the virus, that your refrain from sending the child to their tutoring sessions for 10 days (as stated in the current government guidelines), just drop me a little message to let me know and any information shared with me will be kept strictly confidential!!

On a brighter note, I am very much looking forward to welcoming the children back in a few weeks time. If you would like to arrange a session just drop me a little message and I will get you booked in.
I would also like to congratulate two of my little students who made their First Holy Communion recently I hope you both had a very special day 💛

Hi everyone, I just want to let you know that this week will be the last week of tutoring until October. I am taking a small break to allow the children a chance to get settled back into school and get myself organised for going back to university. For those of you who are finishing up tutoring with me I want to thank you all, it was an absolute pleasure teaching you over these past few weeks and I wish you all the very best in your new school year. For those of you who are continuing with the tutoring I wish you all the best going back to school and I look forward to seeing you all again in October🌟

Hi everyone, as we head into the final few weeks of the summer holidays, I just want to give you a quick update on what will happen when the children go back to school. I will be continuing with my tutoring sessions throughout the school year. As I will be returning to university at the end of September, I am hoping to operate my sessions on a Friday evening, Saturday and if needed Sunday mornings. Once I get my timetable I will have a better idea of what days I will be available for my sessions and will keep you posted 😃 if anyone is interested in carrying on with the tutoring, if you could let me know so I can get an idea of numbers.

I am based in Convoy and am able to provide the sessions in my house but I am willing to travel also. I am flexible in terms of days and time and will cater for your preferences.
