We were all enjoying the lovely weather for the last couple of week, at times it felt that summer was still with us 😎 All the boys and girls have settled in very well and are enjoying learning and playing with their new friends 😊 This week we were able to take the children on a nature walk around Clonmult village and they loved interacting with the horses along the way 🐴 Finally, we planted daffodil and tulip bulbs along with chestnuts, hopefully they’ll all bring home a little tree plant at the end of the year. Planting gives young children valuable hands-on learning experiences that support their physical, mental and emotional growth.

This was our first full week back after the summer holidays. Hope you all made the most of the beautiful weather 😎 It was lovely to welcome back the children and their families to the preschool and also the new girls and boys. It has been a busy time for all the children and they’ve all settled in very well, all smiles and eager to come to school every morning 😊 They had their first visit to the mobile library on Wednesday which was a great success 👏
Finally, I hope the girls and boys that started primary school are enjoying the experience and continuing to enjoy their learning journey.

We’ve been on our summer break for just over a week and the sun is still shining 😎 Our last few weeks were busy and we made the most of the outdoors. The chestnuts the girls and boys planted in October were sent home to be planted in their gardens. In addition, the strawberry plants they planted in March, produced very tasty strawberries 🍓 (much nicer than the ones you buy in the supermarket!). Seven of our older children, whose families have attended the preschool over the last 10 years, are heading to primary school. It’s been a privilege to be part of their learning journey. Wishing the children and their families all the best for the future, we will miss you all. Finally, hope you all have a lovely summer 🥰

We had our school tour last Friday to Leahy’s Open Farm, it was a great morning full of fun 🤩 The girls and boys were fantastic, they listened and followed instructions from our guide 👏 The sun was shining and it made the tour all the more enjoyable for everyone 😎
We have only three more weeks left until the summer holidays. New children and their parents have been visiting the preschool over the last few weeks. If you would like to visit during school hours, Niamh, Cathy and myself would be more than happy to show you around.

It was lovely to come back last week to sunshine after the Easter holidays. The children spent most of the time outdoors, making the most of the much needed nice weather ☀️ The tulip and daffodil bulbs we planted in October were in full bloom 🌼 🌷 Furthermore, the girls and boys planted some strawberry plants which will hopefully bear fruit in June, before we finish for the summer. Finally, the older children are enjoying learning to recognise numbers and using simple lesson sheets to further their learning.

The weather still hasn’t improved except for the odd day when we’ve seen a glimpse of the much awaited sun ⛅️ We got an opening during the week to plant our lettuce and tomato seeds, the girls and boys were delighted with their planting and hopefully we’ll see the fruits of their labour! The children were also busy learning their numbers and some Irish phrases as it is Seachtain na Gaeilge until Tuesday the 17th March. It’s amazing how they can pick up a second language so quickly! Finally, I would like to wish all the hard working Mums a very Happy Mother’s Day 😊

We’ve had a lot of rain over the last few weeks but that hasn’t stopped the children enjoying playing in the puddles. We are very lucky to have a fantastic outdoor area that can be used in all weathers! The girls and boys have been putting their creative and fine motor skills to good use, creating fantastic art work 👏 Finally, it being Valentine’s Day, hope you all have a happy and loving day with your loved ones ❤️💕
