Afterschool Summer camp: Week 4 😎🩷

Sharon,s team The goats t**e on Viktorija's team Sponge Bob😎 Monday-get your art on!!! Using the clay children made fairy chimes with beads, butterfly 🦋, hearts, stars, 🐟 🐠. Games-while sitting down passing ball over heads, ship sea shore, football match, then the race to get the ball fastest was 😉

Tuesday- brain storm.. questions ranging from geography, maths and history were answered by children 🤓🤗

Wednesday-flip your pancakes 🥞 In groups children prepared and mixed their 🥞 mix. After pancakes made, children got stuck decorating them with sprinkles, marshmallows, 🍫 and syrups 🤗😋

Thursday- get wet and face painting🥰 Viktorija and Miah done great job on face painting drawing flowers, homers, balls, dogs tractors 🚜 😀 The children enjoyed Sharon's 🍦 and Viktorija's jummiest 🍫 cake!!! Treats sweets and karaoke party was enjoyed by all after getting all socken wet with our water balloon and gun fight 💧🎈 🤪

Friday- Fort Lucan!!! The children had a fun full day on our last trip of camp🏕 Some of the activities like water 🛝, swings, ropes, go carts were enjoyed by all the children 😀 👍 🥰

Afterschool Summer Camp Week 3 🥸

This week Sharon's Dora the explorers took on Viktorija's Incy wincy spiders.🤩😁 Monday: I'm a celebrity games: The 2 team,s battled it out against each other. 💪💪These games tested the children's speed, concentration, memory and quick thinking..🤔🤓. Some of the games were head in the box, count the balls, find the fish in the jelly and untie the knots on the hanger. We ended our celebrity with the famous bush tucker trails. 😫😋 2 children got to experience our 2 milk shakes 🧋🧋and had to guess the ingredients..🤔😋 And the last 2 children had to guess what they were eating blind folded..🫣😉 Tommy particularly enjoyed Danielle's chocolate covered potato with sprinkles..😝🤭

Tuesday: The children's tastebuds were tested. While blind folded the children had to guess the sweet, savoury, hot or spicey foods..😝🤭🥘🧆 Our popular dodge ball games ⚾️⚽️ were enjoyed along with No man's land, ship sea shore and we ended our day with a bicycle relay race..💪🚲

Wednesday: Cookie monster. 🍪The children made some very over sized 🍪 😋 Some were circle, heart and square shaped. The children done great job with Viktorija & Siobhan's help..😋🙂🤩 We had some free play games and a big game of football.⚽️ it turned into a fantastic game!! Miah's team took on my team. Miah's team took an early lead but in the second half my team came out fighting 💪⚽️ and scored a brillant goal. It went to penalties.. ⚽️ 🥅 It was tense nail biting stuff..🤭😉😁 Each player took their penalties. It ended 4 - 2 well done to the boys & girls on Miah's team they got the win..💪⚽️ 🏆

Thursday: Junk art 🎨. 📦 🗃 🧃 The children made some fabulous castles and robots👌and we'll done to the winning team..👏👏 The weather was great so we had our splash day. 💧 🚿 🚰 Our popular pass the big 🎈🎈 filled with water was splashed and quashed on everyone 😀 😝🤣 The children enjoyed some smores, sweets and treats they 💃 🕺 and had a party..🥳😋😉

Friday: Navan adventure centre: The children ended the week doing some archery 🏹 an obstacle course, a selection of different bouncing castles & slides 🏰 🛝 and inflatables and they made their own slime.. 👏🤣👏 I hope all the children had a fun week..😍😁

Week 3 was filled with fun, creativity, and exciting activities 🏅🫟 The children started the week with a Dress-Up Day and Disco, where they enjoyed dressing up and dancing with their friends.
On Tuesday, they took part in the Mini Olympics, enjoying a range of fun sporting challenges 🏅.
Wednesday saw the group head off on a trip to Kingscourt Playcentre, where everyone had a fantastic time playing and exploring.
On Thursday, the children expressed their creativity during Little Artist Day, producing wonderful artwork.
The week ended with Fun Food Friday and a mini disco giving everyone an enjoyable finish to a fantastic week at summer camp 👯

Afterschool Summercamp Week 2😎

The children settled into their groups on Monday. This week Sharon's Leopards. 🐆 will take on Viktorija's Monkeys. 🐒

Crazy hat design..🎨The children designed some lovely 👒 🎩 . They done some beautiful drawings of 🦋 , 💐, 🌈 🚜, different animals, and the crest of Shercock.
Some new games were enjoyed. Our bulls eye banner game was a favourite, the children tried their hardest to get their bean bag in the centre because the bull had the most points..🤗🤣

Lego puzzle game: The children had to match their coloured lego picture the fastest..🧱🧱. Tuesday: In their teams the children battled it out for our Sports day.. 💪🥊💪Some of the games that were enjoyed: the 3 legged races. Throw their 🥎 ⚾️ the furthest, Sack races, Egg&spoon races. 🏃‍♀️🥚 🥄.

Wednesday. Mega pizzas. In groups of 10 the children made some mega big yummy 🍕🍕. They used Greek yogurt and flour, added sauce and topped it off with ham, cheese, and pepperoni.. The children said they were the yummiest 🍕🍕 ever.. 😋 😋

Thursday: Splash Zone: Nobody was spared today..🫢 🫣😅 Everyone got splashed real good..💧 🚿 The fishes 🐟 games, big water 🎈 🎈and our water gun and balloon fight was enjoyed by all..🔫 🚿💧🎈 Thanks to Maria for being our MC for our Karaoke party 🎤 🥳🎉 The children enjoyed their treats 😋 🍬 🍫 🍡 sang songs and danced away🕺 💃..

Friday: Pirates Denn.☠️ The children got to enjoyable a fun filled day of 🛝, ball pits, a swinging ball thing, soft play area and zip line.. Also a basket ball and a football area was enjoyed..🏀 ⚽️ Hope everyone had a great week.🤗🥰

Afterschool Summer Camp 2026 😎.. Week 1

Monday:
The 2 teams were picked. Sharon's
team the cheetahs and Viktorija's team the jaguars. The summer camp started off with a bang with our popular balloon games.🎈We brought a bit of the Squid games to our camp this year.🤗🤓 We done a circle knock out game..😱 The children battled it out until there were 2 left..🫣 The final was very close. Tara and Kayla F had to match 9 coloured balls in their tray the fastest.👀 By just seconds Tara took the win. Congratulations Tara..💪 🥇

Tuesday: We had our coloured scavenger hunt up a the fairy fort where children rushed around to gather all the coloured objects the fastest.🍃 🌼 🔎 The children then made some yummy strawberry, raspberry and chocolate ice-cream 😋 The children enjoyed their tubs of ice-cream..🍧🍨

Wednesday: Shercock bake off: The children made their fabulous mini cakes. 🎂 😋🥮 And decorated them with chocolate, mini marshmallows and sprinkles.. A favourite game of ship , sea shore was enjoyed by all.. Followed by dodgeball..🏐⚽️

Thursday: Get splashed & Jersey day. We brought some new games to our famous water day 💧 The children had to get their fishes 🐟 out of their tubs into their new bowls the fastest..🐟😂 Then they had fill their drums with water to release their fishes..🐟 Our popular game of its a bomb with big water balloons were enjoyed and we finished with a water gun and balloon fight🎈💧🤗 Nobody escaped the water..💧🤣🤣

Friday: GR8 & Lough Muckno. The children really enjoyed our trip today. They had some time bowling 🎳 building lego, and finished in the soft play area 🥰🥳At lough Muckno the children had great fun on the zip wires, slides, and the different selection of swings, and some of the smaller children enjoyed the sand play area..🤗🥰 I hope all the children had fun.. Week 2 Preschool Camp

What a fantastic week we had at Summer Camp!

Monday: We kicked off the week with a magical performance from Colin Walker, who amazed everyone with his incredible magic show.🪄✨

Tuesday: Our campers got hands-on with some gardening by planting sunflowers and cress. We can’t wait to watch them grow! 🌻

Wednesday: It was time for our exciting Shercock Olympics, where everyone enjoyed taking part in fun games, challenges, and team activities🏅

Thursday: We cooled off with a fun-filled Splash Attack and enjoyed a cosy Pyjama Day, making for a day full of laughter and smiles 💦

Friday: We wrapped up an amazing week with Shercock’s Got Talent, where our talented campers showcased their amazing skills.
Thank you to all our wonderful campers for making this such a fun and memorable week.

We hope everyone had an amazing time, and we can’t wait for more summer camp adventures!

Week 1 Preschool Camp

Our Summer Camp was full of fun, creativity, and adventure!
We made colourful jellyfish crafts, enjoyed dressing up for Princess and Superhero Day, got wonderfully messy on Get Messy Day, and created delicious cupcake masterpieces 🎨🫟🖌️

We had a fantastic day Thursday with an exciting trip to Kells Play Centre, where everyone had a brilliant time playing and making special memories with friends. 🛝

🌟 A Huge Congratulations to All of Our Giraffe Room Children! 🌟

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as our wonderful Giraffe Room children graduated from preschool! 🎓💛

We are so proud of each and every one of you. You’ve learned, grown, laughed, made friends, and created so many happy memories along the way. Now it’s your time to shine even brighter as you begin your next adventure in National School this September. ✨📚

We will miss you all very much, but we know you are ready for this exciting new chapter.

I would also like to thank all of the staff at Shercock Child Resource Centre Preschool, Afterschool, Daycare, Breakfast Club and office for everything they do behind the scenes to support our children and families every day it doesn’t go unnoticed ❤️

And now… we roll straight into four weeks of Summer Camp! ☀️🎨⚽🌈

Let the fun begin!!!!!
