Visit from the local fire brigade. There was great excitement last Thursday when 4 fire fighters arrived with their fire engine. They showed us their safety equipment and discussed fire safety. All the children received a fire safety pack and got to look inside the fire engine.

Science week so far !
We LOVE science in Donoughmore. All of the children have been working scientifically, with magnets, paper planes and vibrations so far.
Last week an incubator with 7 eggs was delivered to the school . It is only day 7 so we will have to wait and watch to see the chicks hatching. This is located in the corridor for all children.
Today, “ The nutty scientist” set up lots of really cool experiments. He talked about volcanoes, dry ice and chemicals that freeze and burn . His show was really interactive and great fun .
Later in the week the children will showcase their own science experiments.

Today, the children came to school in costume. Later, they enjoyed playing traditional party games in the hall. At night...

Today, the children came to school in costume. Later, they enjoyed playing traditional party games in the hall. At night time, we met again at Stranahely for a very enjoyable and spooky walk in the woods. Happy Hallowe’en 🎃
