Today, our dedicated Ethos Ambassadors are visiting classrooms today to mark World Mental Health Day, which takes place tomorrow, Saturday, October 10th.

Our Ethos Ambassadors play a vital role in keeping our core values alive every day—fostering kindness, community, and support across the school. To highlight the importance of emotional well-being, they are handing out 'Take 5 for Mental Health' cards to every student.

World Mental Health Day is a powerful reminder that taking care of our minds is just as important as taking care of our bodies. A simple pause, a chat with a friend, or taking five minutes for yourself can make all the difference.

After a loss to Bridgetown College last week our second year football team had a must win match against Arklow CBS. In what was a tight first half, our players held out Arklow’s constant attacks, putting pressure on their shooters and forcing a number of their efforts wide. Max Merrins pulled off some crucial saves while last ditch tackles by Darragh O’Brien, Kevin Woulfe and Adam Hanley kept us in the game. Our attacks, while less often, were converted by Daniel Dalton, Darragh O’Brien and Charlie Doyle. The half time whistle blew as we led 1-03 to 1-02.

The second half threw in and Arklow were straight into attack again. While they posed a huge attacking threat our defense remained solid. We converted some chances through Daire Walshe and Daniel Dalton but then the last 10 minutes we piled the pressure on the Arklow defense. Aaron Nolan found the net and then almost immediately after Charlie Doyle found the net again. We kept the pressure on until the finish as we ran out overall winners on a scoreline of 4-08 to 2-05.

An overall outstanding team performance with every player rising to the challenge.
