We’ve wrapped up an inspiring and impactful journey at Trinity College Dublin Portal - Trinity Innovation and Enterprise, where participants explored innovative strategies to tackle real-world challenges.

Those locals who took part in the Connectsus programme, including food foraging expert Mo Stafford, shellfish purifier business owner Sinead Riordan and farmers market advocate Jack Trá, received badges signifying their participation at the event on Wednesday.

Commenting on the impact of the Connectsus programme, Bridie Corrigan Matthews of Taste 4 Success Skillnet said it offers mutual benefits for both enterprises and communities.

“For communities, it will re-energise efforts toward sustainable food by leveraging the extensive resources of local enterprises. For enterprises, it will enhance community engagement, empower employees to become more effective community leaders, and contribute to sustainability reporting,” Ms Corrigan said.
“This initiative holds the potential to establish a lasting collaborative network between enterprises and communities, building long-term capacity for community wealth creation.”

Dr Paul Bolger, head of UCC Sustainability Academy, said Connectsus offers the opportunity to re-envisage the transition to sustainability as an unprecedented chance to create better enterprises and healthier communities.
