The Miles Montessori and Day Care

Spring has been so much fun at The Miles! 🌸 We’ve been making the most of the brighter days by whipping up chocolatey Rice Crispie buns, enjoying plenty of Easter surprises, and crafting our very own bright daffodils. Best of all, we’ve spent lots of time playing out in the sunshine and enjoying the fresh air. It’s been a wonderful season of learning and play! ☀️✨

Rocking our odd socks for World Down Syndrome Day !! 💙💛

We had the best time celebrating World Book Day at The Miles last week ! We loved seeing everyone dress up and share their favourite stories, building a love for reading, one page at a time 📚💕✨

We’ve had a busy February at The Miles—making Valentine’s art, flipping pancakes, and celebrating the Lunar New Year. There was no better way to wrap it all up than with a Pyjama Day in aid of the Laura Lynn Foundation ! Nothing beats a pyjama day and having some yummy hot chocolate ! ☁️✨❤️

January was a world tour of fun here at The Miles !
We learned all about Australia for Australia Day and designed our own boomerangs 🪃
We went for gold getting into the Olympic spirit and had lots of fun learning about teamwork 🏅
We got hands on for St. Brigids Day with some sensory rush weaving to make our own crosses ☘️

Last week we brought our wonderful nursery rhymes to life at The Miles ! We did this through singing, colouring and making our own little tea pots 🎶❤️

This week was all about day and night ! We talked about why the evenings are getting darker and what we do during the day vs when we sleep at night 😴 We also welcomed the winter season by making our winter trees and gave some winter clothes a cosy makeover with some fun fine motor work ! 🌞🌙❤️🤩

Having a “spook-tacular” time this week at The Miles getting ready for Halloween ! From spooky footprint art to pumpkin projects, we are buzzing for Halloween 👻🎃

This week was all about the farm and the amazing farm animal friends ! We made our own mini farms and got to explore lots of new textures from hay to wool and even a horse shoe ! 🐄🚜🤩

This week we learned all about road safety for Beep Beep Week ! We all now know the safe cross code and to stop, look and listen 🚸We even got some cool new hi-vis vests for when we go on walks to be easily seen, what a week ! 🛑🟠🟢
