Week 1 is done and dusted 👍🏻 and there’s lots to celebrate! 🥳

Our new infants have all settled in great. There’s plenty of smiles coming in the gate each morning!

Our 4th and 5th classes are also settling in nicely on their new campus at Kilcolman.

We opened our second Autism Class last week and we are very excited for all the opportunities, friendships and achievements that lie ahead!

This Friday we’ll celebrate the start of another wonderful school year with a whole school Assembly from 1st - 6th on the Convent Campus! There’s much to discuss… 💚❤️

☀️ Summer Programme Week 2 ☀️

We had a wonderful second week at our Summer Programme. The children enjoyed taking part in Sports Day, cooling off with water fun, exploring the playground and engaging in a variety of sensory activities.

The children also became bakers for the day, making and enjoying some delicious treats. One of the highlights of the week was our train journey to Westport, where everyone had a fantastic day out together.

We finished our Summer Programme by relaxing with a movie and some well-deserved treats. It was a lovely way to end two weeks filled with fun, laughter, new experiences and happy memories.

Thank you to all of our wonderful staff for their hard work and enthusiasm throughout the programme, and to our parents for their continued support.

We hope everyone has a fantastic summer! ☀️😊

☀️ Summer Programme Week 1 ☀️

A fantastic first week was had at our Summer Programme! The children enjoyed decorating cookies, creating colourful chalk art on the yard, face painting, bubbles and lots of outdoor play.

We were delighted to visit Claremorris Fire Station, where firefighters Jarlath, Piotr and Seán gave us a tour of the fire engine and even let the children use the fire hose.

The children also became chefs for the day, making and enjoying their very own pizzas. They showed off their bowling skills in Castlebar before heading to the cinema and Funster Play Centre for more fun.

We finished the week with a visit from dance teacher, Sandra Ganley. It was a wonderful week filled with fun, laughter and happy memories.

☀️ 3 more sleeps… ☀️

We can’t believe there’s only 3 more sleeps until the Summer Holidays!

Today was a busy day as the children got to meet their new class teachers. Check those schoolbags for school calendar and stationary lists that were handed out today!

Our Kilcolman campus will be home to 4th 5th and 6th classes next year and the children will get a chance to see their new campus and classroom before we finish up for the holidays! 🏫

REMINDER: School finishes at 12.15 on Thursday June 25th and reopens on Thursday August 27th

🥰 🧑🏻‍🎓 6th Class Graduation 🧑🏻‍🎓🥰

Yesterday, we bid a very fond farewell to our wonderful 6th class students as they graduated from Claremorris NS. Our graduation ceremony took place in Claremorris Town Hall Theatre as we had over 50 graduates 🎓

For the first year ever we awarded two very special medals - a THRIVE medal to represent our school motto - Teamwork, Happiness, Respect, Inclusion, Values and Effort. The second medal is the Natasha Warde Medal for Creativity 🥇

This years THRIVE medal went to Lorenzo Apaw and the Natasha Warde Medal for Creativity went to Amelia Dumpe. Thanks to Ms Murphy and Ms Dillon for organising the graduation ceremony and to Shelly for all her help preparing for this special day!

Wishing all of these wonderful pupils the very best as they move forward into Secondary School on the next leg of their Education journey. Ye will be missed 🥹🥹🥹 ###
