Just finished this Scandinavian style pullover for hubby. He's so happy with it he won't take it off. Knit with Irish wool, some handspun from Wilderness Knits patterns. I previously made mine with dog paws on the yoke, of course! I'm thinking I'll make myself a cardi next.

Processing my own fleeces is a labour of love. It takes time and energy, but is an important step in getting them into the correct condition for spinning and dyeing. I have been doing this myself at home for the past 11 years because there was no mill in Ireland washing, carding and spinning small quantities. But now there is! Katarina in County Galway opened Woolstore just a couple of years ago and can now wash and card a minimum of 5kgs. Believe me when I say I am taking my fleeces to her and she does a lovely job. Now Katarina wants to be a full service โmini millโ where the fibre can be spun also. But she needs spinning machinery, which is very pricey. Thatโs why Iโm helping her to realize her dream by putting this link here where you can donate to the fund raising:

Give what you can to support this much needed service in Ireland.
