Inniu déanaimid ceiliúradh ar mhná i ngach áit. 💖
Na mná atá ag éirí go maith.
Na mná atá ag tosú arís.
Na mná atá ag tógáil seans orthu féin.
Agus na mná atá fós ag foghlaim faoi féinfhiú.
Lá Idirnáisiúnta na mBan faoi mhaise daoibh ✨

So much has gotten into raising my self-belief as a teacher.
Knowing that I am more than able and excellent at my job, but sometimes my critical mind tells me something different.
And thoughts become things - then we become what we think about.
A lot of mindset work is done, day in and day out, which is paying off dividends.
Catching how I talk to myself on a daily basis, whether in good circumstances, or bad.
It is an amazing profession, however sometimes we can find ourselves being extra critical. Know inside and out that you are phenomenal, there is no other you and you mean so much to so many kids, future, present and past💕✨🦋

Movement breaks aren't just for children👋
🏃♀️The can reinvigorate the teacher who's hitting the midday slump and needs a boost of dopamine.
🤸♂️ They can clear the brain fog.
🚴♀️They can clear the unnecessary built up energy we have in our bodies.
Don't forget to include yourself in the movement break🫶

Everyone needs to develop a healthy habit of decompressing after the school day.😌
I've been there and done both sides- the sugary side and then the days of journaling and listening to music - both had their time in the spotlight.
What does decompressing look like for you?

It's normal;
😴the "back to school exhaustion",
🫠 the back to school tennis match on "I want to relax but I've stuff to do..."
🚶♂️ the desire to do your self-care, but doing work instead
😩 wanting to give your brain a rest, but still over thinking all the things on that long to do list that feels like it'll never get done.
Its normal❤️
There have been nearly 8 weeks of no school work. So don't expect to go seamlessly back in and while ticking all the boxes.
Nobody has it all together by the 3rd of September, no matter what instagram shows you.
It. Takes. Time.

The excitement of back to school:
😁 The giggles that fill the room
🦶The feet that run in in the morning
😊The smiles that greet you each day
👩🏫The sound of your name being called 283746392 times a day because you're their person
🚸The feeling of accomplishing helping each child to the best of your ability
🔔The bell ringing for play time
👋The waves from children going home and the "slán muinteoir, see you tomorrow"
🎨The art work created by them for you at home, showing they're always thinking about you.
Yes the planning, assessment, resource creating, classroom organisation and all else can be overbearing and exhausting, even remembering to eat is a task!
But this year I'm tuning more into how special it is to have these sounds in my room, and how lucky I am. Our wellbeing comes first🫶✨️
