As we head into the winter months, two things are worth paying attention to: how we feel and how we perform.
Shorter days and darker evenings can affect our energy, motivation, and mood. For some people, this can mean increased stress, anxiety or simply feeling that everything requires a little more effort.
At the same time, many organisations are entering one of the most demanding periods of the year — year-end targets, deadlines, budgets and increased pressure to deliver.
These two things don't happen independently. When pressure increases and our capacity to manage it decreases, it can affect how we think, communicate, make decisions and relate to the people around us.
That makes the final months of the year a good time to think about mental health not simply as something we respond to when there is a problem, but as something we actively support — personally and professionally.
I provide individual psychotherapy alongside corporate mental-health training, workshops and presentations focused on areas such as stress and emotional regulation, resilience, psychological safety, emotional intelligence and performing effectively under pressure.
Individual sessions are available online on Wednesdays, with limited in-person availability in Maynooth on Thursdays. Corporate training and presentations can be delivered in person or online.
