🍁🦊The mythical red fox features often in Western and Celtic lore, a master trickster who uses sharp intellect and resourcefulness to outwit others.....Today, the children took inspiration from the illustrations of Ron Brooks in Margaret Wild's book, Fox, to create these fantastic chalk and pastel portraits 🦊🍂

🔔 A history lesson on school life long ago! 🏫📚.......How lucky are we to have a school filled with fascinating old artefacts that help bring the past to life? The children tried to imagine a school day without modern books, screens, hot meals or central heating!
We explored old roll books, registers and photographs. We looked at an old school desk with its flip up lid and ink well (voted way cooler than the modern ones!) —and had great fun holding reels from an old filmstrip projector up to the light to catch a glimpse of an Irish lesson from days gone by🎥

It is with great sadness that we share the details of the memorial service for Ewelina Zielinsky, beloved mother of Laura.

At this very difficult time, our thoughts are with Laura and her family. As a school community, we will come together to support and surround Laura with care and kindness in the difficult times ahead. ❤️

❤️A beautiful song for World Celebration Day, "Bella Ciao” translates from Italian as “Goodbye Beautiful.” It is the title of a historic Italian folk protest song that has become an international symbol of defiance against oppression❤️
The melody can be traced back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was originally sung by mondine (female workers) in the harsh, flooded rice paddies of Northern Italy to protest against grueling working conditions and poor treatment. Today it is sung as a universal hymn against injustice, inequality, and persecution.
