Tuesday Tips For Parents, Guardians and Grandparents.
Welcome back to school after the long hot Summer to all our families and a cead mile failte to all the new parents/guardians and staff members. Both staff and students have embraced the new season and are well stuck in to the routine by now. The first years are coming to terms with hourly turn over of classes, all their new teachers and managing those lockers. The former TYs are adjusting to the rigours of fifth year, and the sixth years are wondering what the year ahead will hold for them. Each term reveals a new element to school life !
It was great to meet so many of the parents/guardians at the first year Parents/Guardians welcome breakfast. Chats were had, questions answered and numbers were exchanged. There will be more opportunities to chat with other parents throughout the year.
As hscl I will definitely run two seasonal based workshops before the October midterm break and Christmas holidays especially for parents. I will gladly take any suggestions as to the theme or activity and of course your attendance is optional. The workshops are fun and free! The Yoga class will be up and running again soon.
I am looking forward to visiting the first year homes in the next couple of weeks. I do enjoy this and it is good to have a little chat with you all far away from school. Dont worry I will contact you beforehand ! There will be no surprises.
A few dates for your diary......
