Tir na nÓg, Ballymun Day Nursery provides a high quality service for children, focusing on their Social, Emotional, Educational and Developmental needs, whilst also facilitating the development of parents to access employment and training. Our qualified, professional staff provide high quality early childhood education and care through a play based emergent curriculum underpinned by the principles

of Aistear and Siolta for children aged 2yrs to 6yrs. We also provide other family support services

We at Tir na nÓg provide rich learning and care environments with a view to nurture relationships and support children's learning and development. We believe that every child comes with their own knowledge set and unique identity, and that our role as educator and carer is to respect the child as they are and bring them on a journey of learning and discovery about themselves and the world around them. Our children have holistic experiences and processes within an environment reflective of their identity, interests and needs. Play is central to all our activities and is both child led and adult guided based on observations of the children’s development, their needs and their interests. We cater for 120 children of the ages 2 years to school going age. We offer Sessional groups, part time and full time. Our staff
Our staff are highly trained, with many staff members having degree level training. Our staff are all first aid and child protection trained. We continuously up skill and link in with other agencies to make sure that we can always offer the best for the children that attend our service. Hours of operation
Our service is open from 8.45am to 4.00pm

Additional services
-We provide parenting support programmes such as Circle of Security and
Marte Meo both in the home and school.
-We provide breakfast, hot dinners, snacks and fruit daily. (Catering for
special dietary requirements)
-We have a large outdoor play area and Sensory room.
-We provide an Open Day/Family Fun Day.
-We integrate with the wider community, which links in with our Aistear
Curriculum.
-We provide Yoga classes for children and staff.
-Children do not need to be toilet trained.
