A massive congratulations to the amazing Carrickedmond Tag Rugby team, who came away with a fantastic silver medal in the Community Games All-Ireland Final! 🏅👏

The team showed incredible determination, teamwork and skill, defeating the Connacht champions in a thrilling semi-final to secure their place in the All-Ireland final, where they faced a very strong Di**le side.

This is a wonderful achievement for a rural club. Our school and our community are extremely proud of each and every player and coach. What an incredible accomplishment and a fantastic reflection of the hard work, dedication and commitment shown by everyone involved.

Huge congratulations to all the players and coaches, and to the parents, families and supporters who have been behind the team every step of the way.

You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves. Silver medals at an All-Ireland final — what an achievement! 🥈🏉👏

🏉💙💛 Best of luck to our Carrickedmond Tag Rugby Team 💙💛🏉

Everyone here in Colehill NS would like to wish our fantastic Carrickedmond U-11 Tag Rugby team and their coaches the very best of luck as they head to Carlow this Sunday for the National Community Games Finals! 👏🏆

The team has been absolutely flying in training and will face St. Mary’s Sligo in the semi-final at 11.30am on Sunday. We know they’ll give it everything and represent Carrickedmond and Colehill with great pride! 💪

There’s a great buzz building ahead of the weekend, and there are a couple of opportunities to get behind the team:

🏉 Tonight – Thursday: Challenge game v Ballymahon at 7pm in Carrickedmond pitch.
🙌 Everyone is very welcome to come along and support the team!

🏉 Friday: Niall Breslin (Bressie) will be down in Carrickedmond at 6pm to put the team through a training session, before presenting them with their new kit afterwards. What a fantastic experience for the kids! 👏

Then it’s off to Carlow on Sunday for the big one! 🏆

Best of luck to all the players and coaches — enjoy the experience, give it your all, and know that the whole community is behind you! 💙💛

🏆 Leinster Champions! 🏆

A massive congratulations to the incredible Carrickedmond U-11 Tag Rugby team on becoming Leinster Champions yesterday! 🎉

The team, made up entirely of pupils from Colehill National School, produced fantastic performances on the day. They defeated St. Lazerians (Carlow) 13-11 in the semi-final before overcoming Milltown (Kildare) 16-14 in an exciting final to claim the Leinster title.

This is an unbelievable achievement for these young players, their coaches, and their families, and everyone in the Colehill school community is immensely proud of them.

The team now looks ahead to the All-Ireland Finals on 23rd August, where they'll compete for the national title. We wish them the very best of luck and know they'll do us all proud!
