The book is structured in townlands. Each townland has an overview page with information on the townland, followed by an 1838 map alongside a modern map and then each family as listed in the 1911 census. This family is traced back through the 1901 census, the Griffith Valuation of 1858, birth records and even further back through baptismal records. The family is then brought up to modern day Ballintubber and the members who still live in the parish. Old photos, of which there are a lot, are included where ever possible.
