To prepare and deliver in interviews review your successes and communicate these along with your key messages. Simple - yet powerfully effective - you can leave an interview knowing you have delivered your highlight reel✨

It was a pleasure to deliver a Personal Brand & Interview Skills Masterclass to more than 90 Finalists for Network Ireland’s Businesswoman of the Year Awards. Part of the true value of the organisation is making women in business and their achievements visible. There was a real synergy in speaking to members 💫

Through ‘Enhance your Personal Brand & Interview Skills’ we covered:

⭐️ Your Personal Brand & The Value it Holds
⭐️ Your Personal Brand Online - How to establish your Personal Brand and be authentically visible on LinkedIn
⭐️ Building your true In Person Personal Brand
⭐️ Delivering in Interviews
⭐️ Communicating Clearly to increase your Influence as a Leader
⭐️ Enhancing your Professional Presence through your Body Language

Thank you to Network Ireland President Karen Ronan for bringing me on board to deliver the Masterclass. It was apparent very quickly into our conversations around the masterclass that continuous professional development is of great importance to Network Ireland and an area that Karen places brilliant emphasis on. Wishing all Finalists of Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards every success 🙌

The Business Post commissioned me to write an article on making the stretch from Senior Management to Director Level.

Here I cover:
• Becoming viewed as a leader with a Directors’ Mindset
• Importance of visibility for progression to leadership roles
• Increasing in person visibility to key decision makers
• Building a strong internal network to increase leadership opportunities
• Leveraging LinkedIn to amplify your achievements and presence internally

Jumping from Senior Management to Director Level is an area I work with clients on across global businesses where they want to make the stretch yet their hard work is not recognised as being enough to make the leap. I support them to become viewed as a potential Senior Leadership Team member and to be at their absolute best when they get to interview stage.

Thank you Peter O’Dwyer & for commissioning this piece and placing a focus on this area of career growth.

An evening of sharing stories on how to balance ambition while living abroad in the Embassy of Ireland Great Britain with Irish Ambassador Martin Fraser and Chartered Accountant Ireland London Society, Digital Irish, London Irish Business Society, London Irish Lawyers Association and the Women’s Irish Network UK.

David Hardstaff of BCL Solicitors moderated a thoughtful conversation under the theme ’Without a Village’ How to survive, thrive and juggle it all, away from home. The panel spoke about how to navigate the balance of following ambitions in London and personal life when you don’t have the same support structures you may have at home.

Yvonne Maher Chief Growth Officer EMEA of Cognito & Chairperson of Women's Irish Network UK gave a brilliant analogy for balancing professional life while living away “if you have five pots on a stove top you don’t have them all boiling at once.” It’s possible to have it all just not at the same time.

Martina Redmond CFO of Terlos brought home the fact that you can build community and connect with people when living away by meeting and making time to attend events even when life feels more pressured “you can find the energy if you want to meet and be part of a community.”

While Kenneth O’Connor Co-Founder of ROA Talent made the point that fostering relationships is vital to career growth home and abroad “as time passes and people grow they gain the positions of influence in business.”

Thank you to Ambassador Fraser and his wife Deirdre as well as Aideen Cusack and the Team for welcoming us so warmly and for such kind hospitality.

Some issues for High Performing Senior Leaders are the same the world over. Listening to clients in London this week, while everyone has a multitude of differing needs and similar issues are very nuanced in each case, there are clear threads running through them.

One area of focus that continually comes up with Senior Leadership Teams is having an influential boardroom presence and instilling confidence in stakeholders. This is critical to their roles. I work with clients to ensure the ultimate aim of delivering so they are heard and bringing as many people as possible along with them is achieved. We do this by getting to the core of their key messages and simplifying them. Clear messaging and consistency wins every time 🙌
