Excellence and Fond Farewells: Senior Prizegiving!
We gathered to celebrate our Senior Prizegiving, a truly special afternoon dedicated to honoring the academic excellence, leadership, and outstanding contributions of our senior students.
The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of the leadership that defines our school community. A particularly poignant moment was the official passing of the torch, as our outgoing Head Girls handed over their leadership roles to the newly appointed Head Girls for the coming year. We listened to deeply moving farewell speeches from our outgoing Head Girls, who spoke with eloquence, gratitude, and pride about their time leading the student body.
We are delighted to announce our Senior School award winners:
Senior Student of the Year: Awarded to Megan Nolan in recognition of outstanding academic dedication, integrity, and exemplary overall contribution to life at our school.
The Senior Mary Ward Student of the Year: Awarded to Ally Bell. This premier honor is given to the student who consistently embodies and champions the core values of our founder, Mary Ward: Justice, Joy, Freedom, Sincerity, and Truth.
The Loreto Education Trust JOY Award: Awarded to Bronagh McCormack. The Joy Award is an award given by the Loreto Trust. It is one that acknowledges and celebrates a special person in sixth year who brings joy to their peers, teachers and the school community.
Senior Sports Persons of the Year: Awarded to Ashley Guinan and Lile Tully for exceptional athletic achievement, leadership on the field, and dedication to school sport throughout their senior years.
Spiorad na Gaeilge Award: Awarded to Cerys O’Mahony for outstanding achievement and a passion for our native language.
Senior Business Award: Awarded to Aoife Boylan in recognition of excellence, critical thinking, and insight in business studies.
Senior Music Award: Awarded to Kate Hussey for exceptional musical talent, dedication, and contribution to the musical life of the school.
Senior Science Award: Awarded to Cara Mullen for outstanding academic excellence and curiosity in the field of science.
