A huge thank you to our wonderful local historian, Mr. Vincent Harney, from for taking our 5th Class students on a fascinating walking tour of Athlone! 🏛️✨

The children thoroughly enjoyed hearing the stories behind the town’s rich history, as well as the many anecdotes and personal memories that brought the past to life. Your passion, knowledge and enthusiasm made for an unforgettable learning experience, and we are so grateful for the time you shared with us.

A fantastic day for 5th Class on their visit to Dáil Éireann on Monday 🇮🇪

Thanks to the office of Kevin ‘Boxer’ Moran TD for organising the visit in conjunction with Ms Barrett.

A great opportunity for the students to learn more about how our parliament works and see Irish democracy in action.

The children enjoyed a picnic in the sun in St. Stephen’s Green after the Dáil and lunch in Supermacs in the Kinnegad Plaza also ☀️🧺🍟

We enjoyed a lovely walk and chat together, and even had time to stop for an iced coffee in the sunshine! A great way to stay active, connect and enjoy the beautiful weather 🌿☕

Junior Infants Sports Day ☀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Yesterday the Junior Infant classes enjoyed a fantastic Sports Day at Athlone GAA pitch (our own pitch is unavailable due to the new building works).

The children had great fun taking part in parachute games, obstacle courses, relay races, dress-up races and more!

There were lots of smiles, laughter and active little athletes all day long!!

Thank you for the use of your grounds this week 👏
