☕️💬 Are you a member of the Athlone LGBTQ+ Community? If so, Heartlands Pride Athlone, Athlone’s LGBTQ+ Pride Organisation, needs you! Following our first ever Summer Pride Festival this year, we are looking ahead to the future and we want to know what the local community wants from their Pride Organisation.

What do you want to see from us in the future? What do you want us to prioritise? Meet with committee members on Sunday July 26th anytime from 1-3pm at Caffé Nero Athlone, for an informal chat to provide your views. The opinions we gather will inform our future plans.

We also recognise that, unfortunately, it is not safe for everyone to be out or visible, so you can also contribute online through social media or by email if you can’t make it in person.

Thank you 🌈❤️

💥 We kicked off our Access Media Series yesterday evening with our first session on Language and Ethical Storytelling.

This session focused on why language is important, what representation looks like, and the impact of representation on disabled people.

Thank you to all who attended and spread the word, it's just the start of these important conversations!

We will have a recording available for this session soon for anyone who missed it or had any difficulties accessing the event.

Our next session takes place on the 18th of August via Zoom on "Accessing Production Spaces.".

Be sure to book your place and join us next time!
