The message highlights the essential contribution blood donors make to keeping the world pulsating by saving lives and improving others’ health. In 2001, World Milk Day was established by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations to recognize the importance of milk as a global food, and to celebrate the dairy sector. Each year since, the benefits of milk and dairy products have been actively promoted around the world, including how dairy supports the livelihoods of one billion people.

Pancasila Day’ is celebrated by the country’s leadership to honor its creation on June 1st. There is a moment of silence to commemorate the fallen heroes, the reading of Pancasila, the song of Andhika Bayangkari (song about Pancasila and Indonesian ideologies), and finally raising the Indonesian flag and prayers for the country.
This day is also a reminder to all Indonesian citizens of the struggle and sacrifices of the fallen heroes towards Indonesia’s independence and Pancasila.

The International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, 29 May, offers a chance to pay tribute to the uniformed and civilian personnel’s invaluable contribution to the work of the Organization and to honour more than 4,000 peacekeepers who have lost their lives serving under the UN flag since 1948, including 130 last year.
This year, the challenges and threats faced by our peacekeepers are even greater than ever as they, like people around the world, are having to cope not only with the COVID-19 pandemic but also the continued requirement to support and protect the people in the countries in which they are based.

The theme for this year’s Day is “The road to a lasting peace: Leveraging the power of youth for peace and security.”

In the same study, PISA showed the results of the reading interest of Indonesian students who were placed in 57th order of the 65 countries studied.
