Dearest New Zealand School Family,

It is with great shock and sadness that we inform you that Mr. Rhett Butler passed away of a heart attack on Saturday at his family home in the United States. Rhett had returned home to spend time with his very ill father. Our grief is perhaps somewhat lessened knowing that he was with his family at the time, which was where he wanted to be.

Rhett was an amazing individual, teacher and principal whose character was larger than life. He was certainly loved and will be incredibly missed.

The School will hold a Memorial
service on Tuesday, December 3rd at 2.30pm. We invite those who loved Rhett to join us in celebrating his life.
