* Jungle Gym We only use natural and non-chemical products, such as natural soap,
mosquito repellent, and first aid medicine. We also try to always use
recyc
led paper or plastic in our activities.
*Cloth Diapers for Toilet Training
We use cloth diaper for babies and children under toilet training at our
school. Please let us know if you would not permit us to use it for your
children. For a maximum result, please continue it at home for the
success of the training. Using them for long time will let the skin absorb chemical substances harmful to the body. We believe of paper diapers must be avoided as much as possible.
*Food/Meals
All meals from our kitchen are prepared without MSG and only used
organic ingredients from a trusted grocery. We do not use any animal
product, therefore our menu is mainly vegetarian. But do not worry for
your child’s nutrient supplement. To make sure the protein and calcium
intake is fulfilled, we use many recipes with beans, seaweed, and soy
milk. The meals are home made, our lovely chefs cook with love :)
*Water Filter
The quality of tap water in Bali is inadequate. In Rumah Kecil we
purify our water through special water purification system for the
safety of the children and babies.
*Building Structure
Rumah Kecil’s main building is a joglo house. A joglo house is a
Javanese traditional wooden house. A concrete structure or tiled
floor takes away body heat, causing the children to feel cold and
tired. Whereas wood, which adjusts to humidity and temperature as
it breathes, is better for the body. We used environmental friendly
building material and designed Rumah Kecil to be a comfortable place
with a lot of sunshine and air.
*Curriculum
Our curriculum is Unique and one of a kind. Our basic guideline is
Indonesian National Curriculum. We follow their learning objectives and
learning theme. Besides that we add our own concept and culture that is
including eco-awareness, character building, physical activities and life
skills.
*Personal, Emotional and Social Development
In Rumah Kecil, one of our priority is to support each child personal,
emotional and social development. We would like to help each children to
be kind, generous, helpful, polite, and thoughtful and embrace diversity. As well as to have good social and adaptation skill.
*Jenaplan
We focus on child-centered education with the 4 basic activities: play,
dialogue, work and celebration as part of our class activity. Students are
also invited to contribute and celebrate their achievements. With the
benefit of the mixed age group, children will develop their skills and learn
how to cooperate, instead of competing. We are available from age 1 yrs (kids should able to walk by them self) - 9 yrs old.

＜遊びについて＞
Rumah Kecil Day Care Centerでは、遊び（活動や体験）を通して、身体・感情・認識の機能の発達や、社会性の発達を促していきます。
手指をよく動かす工作や粘土や積み木遊び、お絵描きは、構造や仕組みの概念を知り、脳の働きを活発にするとても大切な遊びです。
プールや砂・泥遊びなど屋外活動は皮膚感覚を刺激し、足腰の力をつけます。
仲間とのままごとやごっこ遊び、集団遊びは共同作業、協調性、社会性やルールを身につけます。
たくさんの絵本の読み聞かせをすることで、想像力や豊かな心を育みます。
毎日の遊びの中で、数字や文字、昨日、明日、今、などの時間の概念を身につけていきます。
保育士は、こどもたちが自由にのびのび動いたり、発想したり、自発的に物事に取り組めるよう手助けします。
年齢に応じた発達を促す遊びの提案、異年齢集団で遊びの提案をします。
大きい子が小さい子を助け、力のある子、ない子、発達の同じ様な子、仲良し組が生まれ、共同体感覚を育みます。
＜給食について＞
私たち人間の身体は「食べ物」によって創られます。
「感性」「感情」「思考」は食べ物から大きな影響を受けています。
遊びに夢中になれるこどもは、成長してから勉強にも集中できるようになります。
Rumah Kecil Day Care Centerでは、こどもの一生にかかわる大切な時期の食べ物を重要視し、安心安全な食事を考え提供していきます。
化学調味料を使わない調理法、オーガニック野菜使用、
肉料理は少なめに、使うときは鶏肉を使用
日本の家庭料理をベースにしたヘルシーな手作り給食です。
（建物のこと）
保育園の建物は、木を使う事にこだわり、インドネシアの古民家ジョグロを移築しました。
伝統的なジョグロはペイントや彫刻も楽しく、こどもたちに「本物」に触れてもらえます。
コンクリートやタイルの室内は、足から体温が奪われ、冷えや疲れが起こります。
木材は呼吸しながら室内の温度や湿度を調整しているため、人体によいとされています。
実際に大人も子供も木の建物の中にいると心地よさを感じます。
木材には雑音を吸収する特性があるので、精神のイライラをやわらげます。
こどもたちが一日の大半を過ごす場所ですから、身体に優しい素材で、光や風がよく入り気持ちよく過ごせるようなデザインにしました。
小さな園舎ではありますが、部屋と園庭が一体感を持って遊べる施設になっています。
〈お水のこと〉
バリ島の水道水は極めて水質が悪く、飲み水に出来ないのはご周知の通り、シャワーやプールの水にもよいとは言えません。
園内の水道は全て浄水装置を通し、子供たちや赤ちゃんの安全に配慮しています。
〈エコフレンドリー保育園であること〉
園内で使う石鹸や洗剤は、ケミカルな製品は避け、環境や人体に配慮した自然材料で出来たものを使用しています。
＜布おむつについて＞
Rumah Kecil Day Care Centerでは赤ちゃんに布おむつをおすすめしています。
〈連絡帳〉
園とおうちでのそれぞれの様子がわかるように連絡帳をお渡ししています。
連絡帳を取り入れることによって、保育園での様子も知ることができ、父母さんが育児により深く関わっていくことができます。
