The Dayak people are the indigenous inhabitants of the island of Kalimantan, Indonesia, comprising over 260 sub-tribes with diverse languages ​​and cultures. Renowned for their tattooing traditions, *Mandau* weapons, and traditional *Panjang* or *Betang* longhouses, they are categorized into six major groups: Apokayan, Ot Danum-Ngaju, Iban, Murut, Klemantan, and Punan. Culture and Traditions The lives of the Dayak people are deeply connected to nature. One symbol of their unity is the *Betang* House—a long stilt house inhabited by multiple families. Some of their distinctive traditions include: Traditional Tattoos: A form of body art holding deep significance and serving as a marker of social status; it represents one of the oldest tattooing heritages in the world. *Mandau*: A traditional bladed weapon held sacred and regarded as a symbol of honor and courage. Customary Ceremonies: Rituals such as *Garang Pantan* (to welcome guests) or *Tiwah* (the death ceremony of the Dayak Ngaju tribe).
