Emma was studying for her history test in the library. She had already been reading for two hours, and her eyes felt tired. Suddenly, she closed her book and said to her friend, “I need some fresh air. I’ll be back soon.”

Her friend, Daniel, looked up from his notes. “Where are you going?” he asked.

“I’m just going outside for a short walk. Don’t worry, I won’t take long,” Emma replied. She left her
bag and books on the table to show that she wasn’t finished yet.

Ten minutes later, Emma returned, smiling and more relaxed. “See? I told you I’d be back soon.
Now I can focus again.”
