Ever wondered what the difference is between flat pattern and draping in fashion design? 👗

📐 Flat Pattern
Patterns are developed in 2D on paper, based on measurements and garment construction. It’s precise, systematic, and great for structured pattern development.

🧵 Draping
The pattern is created directly by draping fabric on a dress form. It allows more freedom to explore shape, volume, and the way the fabric interacts with the body.

✨ Flat pattern = building a pattern from a flat surface
✨ Draping = shaping the pattern directly on the form
