The important principles of aikido is the oubaitori concept, which refers to the idea that the student should always be learning and evolving. In order to continue learning and growing, it is important for students to be open to trying new techniques and concepts, and to be willing to experiment and test the boundaries of their understanding.
By respecting the oubaitori concept, students are able to maintain their sense of curiosity and exploration, and are able to continually improve their aikido skills.
Oubaitori
The ancient Japanese idiom, Oubaitori, comes from the kanji for the four trees that bloom in spring: cherry blossoms, plum, peach, and apricot. Each flower blooms in its own time, and the meaning behind the idiom is that we all grow and bloom at our own pace.

Irie Yoshinobu Shihan was dispatched from the Aikido Hombu Dojo for the gasshuku. A total of 120 persons from Shinryukan-affiliated dojos in New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Indonesia, and Japan participated.
2月24日～26日、合氣道神流館（高瀬信夫師範・ニュージーランド合気会）の合宿がオークランド市内の神流館本部道場とバックランズ・ビーチ中学校で開催されました。
合気道本部道場からは入江嘉信指導部師範が派遣され指導。合宿には国内傘下団体ほかオーストラリア・ニューカレドニア・インドネシア・日本から合わせて120名が参加しました。
