the wonderful (and sometimes frustrating) thing about watercolor for me is most times i can’t control how the colors will go on paper. this piece is such a wonderful surprise because the blue to magenta gradient looked better than what i had imagined 😍

Loneliness personified for me is: a giant messy feeling that i can’t describe, with a hollow hole. Sometimes it felt like a dark shadow always following us everywhere, sometimes it felt like a friend that needs embracing.

Most times, i choose to embrace my loneliness ; and look into myself — what do i yearn for? can i do something about it now? does it even need to be filled?

What does your loneliness look like? I wanna knooww 🥺 so i don’t feel so alone lol

These days almost nobody is only doing one full time job. Is it society pressuring us to get busy? Or does our generation actually like hustling? I found myself doing (fall victim to) this hustle culture… and lying in bed at night still thinking “is it ever enough?”

This GRWM (get REAL with me) casual comic series idea has been in my mind for a while — a visual social commentary about human things i find interesting.

for those unfamiliar with my lasercut work, hi! i’m actually a lasercut artist first before delving into the lettering/illustration space 🤣 i have my own lasercut machine i bought from the talented folks in ✨

I had so much fun working on these! Especially drawing them munching our local food 🥺 gah can’t wait to see them on my hand! (For how to pre-order you can jump read in the end)

A short backstory why i chose these two animals; orangutan is definitely the first furry creature in my mind when thinking about this collection. they are definitely one of the most famous endangered local animal in the world, and although there are already tons of awareness, it’s still not enough 😢

for bali starling (jalak bali), this little guy definitely needs more awareness and attention. They are currently second most rarest bird in the world, and only exists in Bali.

Riding Your Kancil

Is that a kancil (mousedeer)? Or a horse? Nobody knows, i might as well just created my own creature 🤩

I didn’t actually plan this drawing especially for independence day, I just wanted to test out my yellow ink. Coloring a sunny yellow sky was definitely on my mind, and the rest just followed ☀️ (really inspired by style as well! As always)

This is also my first attempt to color with an acrylic ink and wax-based color pencils! How did I not know these before, they are SO satisfying 🥺 super super happy with my latest art supply haul! I can finally have more vibrant colors on my drawing 🌞
