As part of the 2026 National Education Day celebration, representatives of teachers and parents from Tzu Chi Early Childhood had the opportunity to visit Sekolah Kolong in Cilincing on May 9, 2026, to share joy and the spirit of learning with the children under Rumah Belajar Merah Putih.

The activities began with fun ice-breaking sessions and storytelling, followed by energetic exercise activities and educational games that brought smiles and laughter to everyone. The children also participated in Mandarin and English learning sessions in a warm and engaging environment, encouraging them to learn in an active, joyful, and confident way.

In addition, our teachers and staff also donated stationery supplies and organized a small fundraising initiative, allowing us to provide lunch and snacks for the children to enjoy together. Through these simple acts of sharing, we hope to spread warmth, care, and happiness to the community Rumah Belajar Merah Putih is a learning community that provides educational opportunities for children in marginalized areas, with the mission of bringing access to education, guidance, and hope for their future.

The dedication of the volunteers and educators there reminds us that education can grow anywhere when it is nurtured with care and compassion. This visit became a meaningful experience for all of us to learn the value of sharing, compassion, and the importance of creating inclusive education opportunities for every child.

Tzu Chi Secondary School Graduation Ceremony, held on June 3, 2026, marked a meaningful milestone for our students as they completed an important chapter in their journey. The event was attended by 143 parents and 12 members of the Board of Governors.

This year’s theme, “May you keep kindness in your heart and stay grounded in your actions; May you face a changing world with courage and move forward with confidence,” reflects the values we strive to nurture in every student.

During the ceremony, a number of students were recognized for their academic excellence, celebrating their dedication and achievements throughout their studies.

As a heartfelt expression of gratitude, students also performed a tea ceremony to honor the teachers who have guided and supported them along the way.

May our graduates continue to carry compassion, integrity, and courage as they step forward into the future.

The 19th “Chinese Bridge” Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Secondary School Students – Jakarta Regional Selection has successfully concluded! 🎉

The “Chinese Bridge” Competition is an important international Chinese language competition for secondary school students around the world. The competition consists of three parts: a prepared speech, an impromptu Q&A session, and a talent performance, comprehensively assessing contestants’ Chinese proficiency, cultural understanding, and overall presentation skills.

After fierce competition among 35 outstanding contestants, our students, Awron Wong (G9 Love) and Cittadewi Abhassara (G9 Joy), stood out and were awarded First Prize and Second Prize respectively in the Jakarta regional competition on May 24, 2026! 🏆🥈

They will represent the Jakarta region at the Indonesia National Competition on June 13! ✨

Special thanks to Ms. Chen Liyan and Ms. Huang Meining for their dedicated guidance, hard work, and continuous support throughout the students’ preparation journey. ❤️

In celebration of Vesak Day, our students gathered together in a moment of mindfulness and respect—learning the values of gratitude, compassion, and peace.

Guided by teachers, students prayed together and took turns participating in the meaningful Vesak ceremony:
🌸 礼佛足 – paying respect to the Buddha
🌸 接花香 – receiving the fragrance of flowers as a reminder to cultivate goodness
🌸 祝福吉祥 – offering blessings of peace and well-being

Through these simple yet meaningful practices, students learned to calm their hearts, show gratitude, and send loving wishes to others. 🕊💛

Creativity with purpose, care for our Earth 🌱

Our Earth Day Recycling Project & Art Competition has been a meaningful journey of creativity and environmental awareness. Over the past week, students’ works—created together with their parents—were proudly exhibited, and parents and teachers took part in voting, celebrating each family’s effort and imagination. 💚

From thoughtful designs to innovative use of recycled materials, every project reflected a shared commitment to caring for our planet. 🌍✨

After a week of appreciation and excitement, we are happy to announce our winners! 🎉 Congratulations to all participants for your creativity, effort, and love for the Earth—you are all winners in making a difference. 🌿

Murid-murid di TK Tzu Chi belajar bahwa pendidikan tidak hanya tentang membaca dan berhitung, tetapi juga tentang membangun karakter, kepedulian, dan tanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan sekitar. 🌱✨

Secara berkala, murid-murid bersama guru membersihkan ruang kelas dan mainan yang mereka gunakan sehari-hari. Melalui kegiatan sederhana ini, anak-anak belajar untuk menghargai lingkungan belajar mereka serta menumbuhkan rasa tanggung jawab sejak usia dini. Mereka juga dibiasakan untuk selalu menjaga area bermain agar tetap bersih, nyaman, dan menyenangkan untuk semua.

Tidak hanya itu, setiap hari Jumat diadakan kegiatan daur ulang, di mana murid dan orang tua bersama-sama membawa barang-barang yang dapat didaur ulang, seperti botol bekas, plastik, kardus, dan berbagai material lainnya ke sekolah. Kegiatan ini menjadi salah satu cara untuk menanamkan kebiasaan peduli lingkungan sekaligus mengajarkan pentingnya mengurangi sampah dan menjaga bumi bersama-sama. ♻️

Melalui semangat Hari Pendidikan Nasional, kami percaya bahwa pendidikan terbaik adalah pendidikan yang tidak hanya mengembangkan pengetahuan, tetapi juga membentuk generasi yang penuh cinta kasih, peduli terhadap sesama, dan bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan.
