"Ada MADIUN CONNECTION di Magister Manajemen Universitas Indonesia"

Magister Manajemen Universitas Indonesia (MMUI) telah berusia 28 tahun. Dalam perjalanannya, salah satu sekolah bisnis terbaik di Indonesia ini telah dipimpin oleh beberapa akademisi terkemuka. Diantaranya: Prof. Wahjudi Prakarsa, Dr. Aditiawan Chandra, Dr. Ronny Muntoro , Prof. Rhenald Kasali, Dr. T. Ezni Balqiah, dan kini Harryadin Mahardika, Ph.D.

Uniknya, pendiri MMUI, almarhum Prof. Wahjudi Prakarsa berasal dari Madiun. Begitu juga Direktur saat ini, Harryadin Mahardika, Ph.D. sama berasal dari Madiun. Sehingga sering terlontar guyonan adanya Madiun Connection di MMUI.

Prof. Wahjudi sebagai pendiri meletakkan dasar yang kokoh bagi pengembangan sekolah bisnis yang berlokasi di Kampus UI Salemba ini. Hal ini coba diteruskan oleh para penerusnya, termasuk Harryadin.

MMUI saat ini memiliki 700 mahasiswa dan lebih dari 5.000 alumni yang bekerja di berbagai sektor. Fokus MMUI ada pada pendidikan bisnis dan manajemen yang berorientasi global. Lulusannya dibentuk untuk berani keluar bersaing sebagai profesional di level regional maupun internasional.

Saat ini MMUI tergabung dalam Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) yang beranggotakan 29 sekolah bisnis top dunia, diantaranya Yale, Berkeley, LSE, INSEAD, IMD, NUS, IE, HKUST, dan lain-lain.

This program is an international collaboration between MM FEBUI and I.A.E de Grenoble, Universite Piere Mendes, France. The MM degree will be given by MM FEB UI while the MBA degree will be given by I.A.E de Grenoble which is recognized in the whole of EU. This program combines two different management perspectives: Europe and Asia. Aside from having the appropriate knowledge, students will be directed to have competence in facing differences in business practices. In this globalization era, it is important to have those skills, especially if the student were to work in a multinational or a local company that plans to go international.
