Today, we commemorate the 128th Birth Anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda, a remarkable Filipina leader, educator, social worker, and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

Her life and legacy continue to inspire generations of Girl Scouts to live with courage, compassion, service, and love for country. Her vision reminds us that every girl has the power to make a difference in her community and beyond.

As we celebrate Escoda Day, may we continue to uphold the values she stood for and carry forward her enduring legacy of service and empowerment of girls and women.

My students are my greatest inspiration. They teach me patience, kindness, and to see the world with fresh eyes every single day. It is a privilege to walk beside them, to witness their growth, and to know that together, we are learning, growing, and becoming betterโ€”for each other.

I believe that teaching is more than a professionโ€”it is a calling from God. He has placed me in this path to be His instrument in shaping young lives, nurturing not only their minds but also their hearts and character. My greatest hope is to guide my learners to become good, responsible, and God-loving individuals who will one day be a blessing to others.
Every day, I pray for a mind that teaches with wisdom, eyes that see God in every learner, and a heart that loves as He loves. I ask God to give me patience to understand, compassion to guide, and strength to lead by example.
For me, the greatest reward of teaching is not only seeing my learners succeed academically, but seeing them grow into kind, faithful, and compassionate people. If the values I teach live on in their hearts and inspire them to do good, then I know I have fulfilled my calling.
I am not only teaching lessons; I am touching lives. I am not only shaping minds; I am helping shape hearts.

As a Grade 4 teacher, my approach to teaching is to guide, encourage, and support every learner. I believe that each child has the ability to learn and succeed when provided with meaningful opportunities, proper guidance, patience, and a caring learning environment.

What inspires me most as a teacher is seeing my Grade 4 learners improve, discover their abilities, and become more confident in themselves. Through my students, I continue to learn the importance of patience, understanding, flexibility, and compassion.

For me, being an effective Grade 4 teacher is not only about teaching academic lessons but also about developing good values, perseverance, responsibility, and kindness. My greatest hope is to help my learners become confident, responsible, compassionate, and capable individuals who will use their knowledge and values to make a positive difference in the future.
