We have achieved a new technology milestone as a modified DX+ Ultra reduction cell at our Eagle research and development section in Jebel Ali successfully started up at 500kA – the first time this amperage has been achieved in the Middle East. Pushing amperage to 500 kA is expected to boost productivity by five per cent compared to the current maximum operating amperage in EGA.

Our Engineer The Future summer camps are underway at eight schools in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain. EGA’s Engineer the Future programme encourages children to study and ultimately pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
