These are the Pre-event of ICON ARCCADE 2023. The event will be taking place on 11 October 2023, 09:00-17:00 (Western Indonesian Time):

1. Talkshow in collaboration with National Museum of Japanese History: "Open up Resources and Data on Research on Japanese Occupation of Indonesia during WWII."
09:00-11:00 WIB. Limited seats for up to 100 participants. The speakers are:
- Prof. Mayumi Yamamoto (Miyagi University)
- Prof. William Bradley Horton (Akita University)
- Dr. Makoto Goto & Dr. Yuta Hashimoto (National Museum of Japanese History)
- Dr. Arianti Ayu Puspita (Institut Teknologi Bandung)

We will introduce our mentor for the Postgraduate Workshop.

Venka Purushothaman, PhD is deputy president and provost at LASALLE I University of the Arts Singapore. He is an award-winning art writer, academic, and scholar advancing transformative art and design education for a fast-evolving world. He founded the Asia-Pacific Network for Culture, Education, and Research (ANCER) and chaired the Strategy Board of Zurich-based Shared Campus, a consortium of arts and design universities. Venka is a member of the International Cultural Relations Research Alliance (Berlin), a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts (UK), and a University Fellow at Musashino Art University (Tokyo). He holds a PhD from The University of Melbourne.

We invite 10 master's and doctoral students to join our Postgraduate Workshop. The registration will be open until 22 September 2023.
